of the International Johannes Brahms Competition for piano (not in 2016), chamber music,
violin, viola, cello and voice at Pörtschach am Wörthersee, Carinthia,
Austria. In 2016, the competition will take place from September 3 until September 11, 2016. We would be glad to welcome you to Pörtschach this summer, whether as participant
or as visitor.
- November 26, 2015: The 2016 Competition
The 23rd International Johannes Brahms Competition Pörtschach will take place from September 3 to 11, 2016 for chamber music, violin, viola, cello and voice/lied. Piano will be offered again in 2017.

- July 13, 2015: Preliminary Competition Schedule
The preliminary competion schedule is now available. Information is still subject to change, because an exact timetable can only be created after all participants have arrived to Pörtschach or after the previous round has finished. Only then the actual number of participating artists is known.

- March 5, 2015: Congratulations To Our Prize Winners
Singer Hagar SHARVIT, first prize winner at the 19th International Johannes Brahms Competition 2012, and her pianist, Ammiel BUSHAKEVITZ, best piano accompanist at the 19th International Johannes Brahms Competition 2012, won the first prize, the pianist prize and the public award in "Das Lied" International Song Competition at Berlin.
Violinist Jan Mráček, first prize winner and winner of the prize of the audience with the Lobkowicz Trio chamber music ensemble at the 21st International Johannes Brahms Competition 2014 won the first prize and Emmanuel TJEKNAVORIAN, second prize winner at the 18th International Johannes Brahms Competition 2011, won the third prize at the VIII International Fritz Kreisler Competition Vienna.
- February 15, 2015: The 2015 competition program is available
* New final rounds with full orchestra: The violin and cello final rounds will be held with full orchestra.
* Voice: There is no voice (lied) competition in 2015. The voice competition will be back in 2016 with a new program.
