Welcome to the website
of the International Johannes Brahms Competition for piano,
violin, viola, cello and voice (and again in 2018 also for chamber music) at Pörtschach am Wörthersee, Carinthia,
Austria. In 2017, the competition will take place from September 2 until September 10, 2017. We would be glad to welcome you to Pörtschach next summer, whether as participant
or as visitor. More information about the 2017 competition coming soon.
- March 13, 2017: Online Registration 2017
We are looking forward to your online registration for this year's competition! Registration is open until July 1.

- February 19, 2017: The 2017 competition programme is available
* Finals with full orchestra: Now in all categories (except voice)!
* Piano: The piano ompetition is back again!
* Chamber music: There is no chamber music competition in 2017. The chamber music competition will be back in 2018.

- June 13, 2016: Concert Engagements
There are not only first and second prizes at the International Johannes Brahms Competition Pörtschach, but also lots of special prizes and concert engagements!
Today, we want to share with you just two of them: Cosima Soulez Lariviere, who was invited to play in Tokyo with Maestro Yuki Miyagi and the Lobkowicz Trio, who appeared in Vienna's Hofburg palace.
Also this year, a number of concert invitations will be offered to our prize winners!
- March 5, 2015: Congratulations To Our Prize Winners
Singer Hagar SHARVIT, first prize winner at the 19th International Johannes Brahms Competition 2012, and her pianist, Ammiel BUSHAKEVITZ, best piano accompanist at the 19th International Johannes Brahms Competition 2012, won the first prize, the pianist prize and the public award in "Das Lied" International Song Competition at Berlin.
Violinist Jan Mráček, first prize winner and winner of the prize of the audience with the Lobkowicz Trio chamber music ensemble at the 21st International Johannes Brahms Competition 2014 won the first prize and Emmanuel TJEKNAVORIAN, second prize winner at the 18th International Johannes Brahms Competition 2011, won the third prize at the VIII International Fritz Kreisler Competition Vienna.
